We’ve been serving both business and residential clients since February of 2021, but our construction and contracting experience extends back to 2011.

We believe our biggest strength is our ability to communicate with our clients effectively; whether it is a prospective client asking for a free quote on a job, or a current or previous customer communicating about the progress of a job or their updated needs, we know that you need a contractor who is willing and able to listen.

Our owner is Dustin Schultz, and he is not afraid of hard work. Schultz has worked in construction with his father and family ever since he can remember. Schultz grew up in rural Nickerson, Kansas, and graduated from Nickerson High School. He also grew up working on one of his best friends’ family farms before he even had a driver’s license.

While attending high school, Schultz also worked for his uncle’s family fence company at Schultz Fence Co. in Hutchinson. He worked for the City of Nickerson while in high school as well.

After graduation, Schultz went to Hutchinson Community College and studied Building Trades. While in college Schultz also worked for a custom landscaper in the Hutchinson area. After college, he was asked to come back to be a co-instructor of the Building Trades program at Hutchinson Community College. He taught college students and many area high school students from 2010-2014.

Schultz lives in Lyons, KS with his understanding wife. In addition to being the owner of Black Diamond Contracting, LLC, Shultz is also the Mayor of Lyons, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, owns 2 other real estate corporations, does some commercial mowing, and serves on the County fire department.
